Jared Muralt, born in Bern in 1982, is a Swiss illustrator and comic artist.
Although he attended art school in Bern for a year, Muralt is mainly self-taught. As a freelance illustrator , he founded the graphics & illustrations collective BlackYard with three friends in 2009. In addition to his main work as a comic artist, Muralt has worked for the New York Times and Pottermore, among others. Jared Muralt's comic series "The Fall" received the 2020 Atomium Award "Le Soir de la BD d'actualité" for topical contemporary comics. In 2022, Jared himself received the Literary Prize “Write On” from the city of Bern.
