Claudia Schildknecht, born in 1990, is a photographer / visual artist and devotes herself to journalism and, above all, long-term personal projects with socially critical content. For example the ivory trade in Malawi, exotic alternative solutions in Swiss agriculture or the dying of the coral reefs of the northern Great Barrier Reef. Her work has been published in various magazines and newspapers and exhibited in museums and galleries in various European countries.

She also works as a freelance tattoo artist and is a co-owner of SILC Tattoo After Care GmbH. She is co-initiator of the art collective Haus zur Ameise, St.Gallen, which focuses on various art areas and runs a gallery. She is also the initiator of the biotope of relevance; an interdisciplinary art group working on larger, public installations with socio-cultural and socio-political content.
