Artist: Peter Hauser
Designed by Peter Hauser for Transhelvetica #92 “Silence.”
Peter Hauser invites viewers of his images to look deeper—beneath the surface of his photographs, behind the objects depicted. To achieve this, he spends hours tinkering in his analog darkroom with his analog photographs. He experiments with exposures and light-sensitive papers, searches for hidden colors and essences, and occasionally intervenes with stencils. He continues until visual echoes appear in the images that tell of what might still be there. The results are contemplative, dreamlike, or even psychedelic scenes that you will want to immerse yourself in.
Travel with your head and your feet. Transhelvetica is the Swiss travel magazine that takes you to mysterious places. It knows every nook and cranny of the country, dines in the best restaurants, ventures into the most dangerous places, visits the most surprising artists, and knows exactly how to find its way in the urban jungle and the great outdoors.
For each issue of Transhelvetica, we commission artists to design a poster based on the magazine's theme.
