Nico Kast is fond of classic tourism posters from the last two centuries. For his new creation, the illustrator, animator and sound designer from St.Gallen chose iconic motifs from the Lugano region and visually developed them further. nicokast.ch The Lugano Region poster by Nico Kast was created from the collaboration between Lugano Region and Transhelvetica.
Travel with your head and your feet. “Transhelvetica” is the Swiss travel magazine that takes you to mysterious places. It knows every nook and cranny of the country, eats in the best restaurants, ventures into the most dangerous places, visits the most surprising artists and knows exactly how to find its way in the urban jungle and in the wild.
For each issue of Transhelvetica, we engage artists to design a poster based on the magazine's theme.
