Designed by lorenapaterlini.ch for Transhelvetica #93 “Donkey.”
Lorena Paterlini grew up in the mountains and soon flew to Zurich and Lucerne to study. But her heart remained in Lenzerheide. So she returned to her homeland with a bachelor's degree in art education and a master's degree in illustration. Since then, she has lived in the village in winter, while in summer she packs up all her belongings and tends 160 animals with her partner and children on an alp in Prättigau.
Life up there has a strong influence on her work. Her work is characterized by mountains, nature, animals, and alpine life. She combines these themes with humor, warmth, and sensitivity to create entertaining works. She has published some of them in her (diary) book “Nehmen Sie gefälligst Ihren Hund an die Leine! – Ein Sommer auf der Alp” (Please keep your dog on a leash! – A summer on the alp).
Travel with your head and your feet. Transhelvetica is the Swiss travel magazine that takes you to mysterious places. It knows every nook and cranny of the country, eats at the best restaurants, ventures into the most dangerous places, visits the most surprising artists, and knows exactly how to find your way in the urban jungle and in the wild.
For each issue of Transhelvetica, we commission artists to design a poster based on the magazine's theme.
