Risography is a stencil printing process similar to screen printing. The paper is sent through the Riso printer and the motif is printed on the sheets using a drum. The advantage is that the color is applied to the paper without chemicals, which is particularly ecological. The print image is characterized by a slight grain, which gives the image a special charm. It is also possible to print colors that cannot be mixed with a normal four-color printer, such as neon colors or bright yellow.
Our small studio in Basel consists of Si-yü Steuber and Susanna Filep. We have been working together since 2013 and are always discovering new creative paths.
We paint plates and mugs, illustrate posters and postcards, as well as pins and badges. We also like homemade burgers, good design, clumsy fonts and neon colors.
