Graphic novel, everyedition, 2021
Softcover, 96 pages
200 x 148 mm, open binding
An exhausted soap dispenser turns to its owner and complains about its dreary everyday life. It is tired of always being available and functioning at the push of a button. Its liquidity worries it, and the beloved tube is becoming increasingly depressed. It knows that it will be a bag that will eventually carry it away.
Illustrator Pascale Osterwalder grew up in eastern Switzerland and has been living and working in Vienna for 15 years. Her comics about depressed soap dispensers have already achieved cult status in Austria. In 2021, she published “Daily Soap – Aus dem Leben eines Seifenspenders” (Luftschacht) and “All I ever had, went down the drain.” (everyedition). In 2023, her first children's book, “Das Käsebrot” (Luftschacht), followed. In collaboration with the screen printing workshop D1 in St. Gallen, the first T-shirt collection about depressed soap dispensers and depressed tubes is now being released!
