This double stone card looks like a real stone when you stand it up. I lovingly experimented with watercolors, gouache, and chalk to imitate the textures of river stones. Gradually, I scanned the various textures and implemented them into different stone outlines until I found the right section for each stone. The result is three different stones that also look very harmonious when displayed in combination. All cards were cut and folded by hand. The inside of the folding card bears the text: In the tranquility of the stone lies the power of eternity.
The folding card can also be used as a sympathy card, as the meaning of the saying can be interpreted in many different and profound ways.
Virginia, also known as Ginny, is a graphic designer and illustrator who has a great passion for pencils, paper, plants, and animals. Under her label “ginny,” she creates unique garments, which she draws by hand with great attention to detail and then transfers onto shirts or sweaters. In addition to her work with textiles, she also devotes herself to creating personalized cards, which she designs either as one-of-a-kind pieces or printed duplicates. Virginia's creativity and dedication are reflected in each of her unique works, most of which are one-of-a-kind.
